The Egyptian-Russian Summit kicked off Saturday in Kremlin Palace here between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The meeting comes within the framework of following up the outcome of the successful visit paid by Putin to Cairo in February.

The two sides are keen on promoting bilateral relations in various fields.

The talks were attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Egypt's Ambassador to Russia Mohamed el Badry as well as Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
