An Egyptian-Russian summit started Tuesday with leaders of the two countries discussing means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin also talked about regional and international issues of mutual concern.
An expanded meeting will later be held with delegations from both sides taking part.
Sisi and Putin will then witness an inking ceremony of a number of agreements.
Later on they will hold a joint press conference.
A lunch banquet will be held in honor of Putin and his accompanying delegation.
