Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived here on Tuesday coming from Djibouti on a one-day visit to Uganda as part of his current African tour.

In statements to MENA, Shoukry said he will convey a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to his Ugandan Counterpart Yoweri Museveni.

The visit aims at exchanging viewpoints shared by the two countries' leaders during previous meetings, he explained.

The foreign minister is scheduled to meet with officials of the foreign ministry officials and other ministries concerned on means of bolstering cooperation in the various fields as well as issues of common interest including the eastern Nile basin and South Sudan.
