Minister Hossam Moghazi

Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi left Juba Thursday heading home after a four-day official visit to South Sudan.
During the visit, Moghazi inaugurated and a number of water and development projects in South Sudan.
Moghazi was accompanied by a 30-member experts' delegation representing ministries of irrigation, agriculture, electricity, health, education and youth.
In pre-departure statements, Moghazi said that the delegation visited water pumping stations in the villages deprived from the drinking water.
A workshop was held for the experts and technicians of irrigation in both countries, Moghazi added.
Egypt called on the donating bodies to finance the construction of a hydropower dam at Wau, 509 kilometers northwest of the capital Juba, which will be used to store the irrigation water of up to 2.200 billion cubic meters.
