President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

Highlighting a visit by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Russia, the information office of the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow has prepared an integrated file on Russia and its relation with Egypt.

Sisi arrived in Moscow earlier Friday on a two-day visit to Russia to attend celebrations marking Victory Day.

The file sheds light on Russian history, starting from the emergence of the Russian Empire, passing through the October Revolution and the collapse of the Soviet union, and ending with the independence of Russia and the collapse of communism in the country.

It also tackles the nature of relations between Egypt and Russia, especially following the latest developments in the Middle East region.

"As for military cooperation, Egypt's imports of Russian weapons are expected to increase in the coming years," the document says.

It also highlights that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries hit 4.6 billion dollars in the first 10 months of 2014.
