Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, stressed that Emiratisation and national identity will be top priority at the Dubai Executive Council in 2013 in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to dedicate 2013 as the year of Emiratisation. “Directives of the leadership don’t want us to be satisfied with excellence only but to be number one, and this requires joint efforts from all government entities,” Shaikh Maktoum said while presiding over the Council’s meeting on Monday. He also instructed the Council’s members to maintain strong contact and coordinate efforts to push these priorities forward. During the meeting, the Council discussed Dubai’s strategic plan which features economic and social development, health, safety, security, justice, infrastructure, environment and government development. The Council also reviewed findings of analysis of the workforce at the Dubai government and other demographic, human resources, job classification, and regulatory indexes. Shaikh Maktoum also gave directives to increase the number of national employees in sectors where Emiratisation is under the mark. From KhaleejTimes
