Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ratified a bill allowing military deployment in Qatar.
The bill enables the Turkish Cabinet to deploy troops in Qatar and cooperate in the defense industry with the country's Sunni ally in the Mideast, Turkish newspaper "Yenisafak" reported.
The mutual ties between Turkey and Qatar have achieved significant progress in recent years, according to foreign ministry sources. Turkish and Qatari officials intensified high-level talks between 2008 and 2011.
