Istanbul - FANA
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for the reform of the United Nations on justice. Addressing the Istanbul World Forum here on Saturday, Erdogan said structural injustice was clearly seen in the functioning of several international organizations, especially in the UN, Anadolu news agency reported. “It is time to change structures of international organizations, especially the UN Security Council,” he said. The UN Security Council did not intervene in Syria’s ongoing 20-month-long “human tragedy”, he said, noting that at least 30,000 people have been killed in Syria so far, while the council could not pursue an effective policy though Syrian people “deserved justice.” Turkey has been pursuing a policy complying with justice regarding this issue from the very beginning, Erdogan said.
