A group of activists gathered in Simferopol's Lenin Square, Crimea, on Friday, burned a straw figure with a picture of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after a Russian Su-24 fighter jet was shot down by Turkey, Russia Today reported.

Demonstrators waved Russian flags and held banners, while chanting slogans protesting against the attack carried out by Turkish F-16 fighter jet on the Russian aircraft, leading to the death of the pilot. Several anti-Turkey demonstrations have been taking place in recent days in a wide range of cities alongside Russia.
