Turkey\'s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoan intends to propose that \'Islamophobia\' be considered a \'crime against humanity\' in the wake of an anti-Islam film which has sparked waves of violent protests across the Muslim world. Erdoan will appear in front of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on 25 September, where, according to pro-government daily Zaman he will propose that offenses against the religious values of Islam be considered \'crimes against humanity.\' \"National and international measures are needed to combat attacks on sacred values\", Zaman quoted him as saying Sunday.
