The European Union denounced Friday the killing of protesters by militia in Libya calling for bringing attackers to justice. In a statement, the union reiterated respect for all political parties asserting rights of expression. As many as 27 persons were killed when the Misrata militia reportedly opened fire with heavy machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades at protesters as they approached its headquarters in the Gharghour district in the capital Tripoli.
