Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met here Sunday with European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini within the framework of meetings with world leaders and officials taking part in the Munich Security Summit.
The talks covered ways to promote relations between Egypt and EU in the political, economic and trade domains and ongoing preparations for holding the parliamentary elections and the economic conference in Sharm El Sheikh next month.
Mogherini asserted Europe's economic support for Egypt particularly with the country's tangible steps toward economic reform, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said.
She praised Egypt's steadfast stance regarding combating terror and asserted Europe's support in this respect, he added.
