A suicide bombing rocked part of the Southeastern Beirut suburb of Choueifat on Monday. According to the Arabic-language news channel al-Jadeed, the explosion took place next to a gas station. The channel showed gruesome images of dismembered bodies at the scene. According to caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber who blew himself up in a van. Security sources said the explosion was a suicide bombing and that there were at least two people killed.
