Palestinian (Fatah) movement praised Thursday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas\'s speech delivered at the UN General Assembly\'s 67th session. The speech was so historic that it pressured the international community to move to end the suffering of Palestinian people, Fatah Spokesman Fayiz Abu Aitta said, warning against continuous world silence about Israeli ongoing crimes. Abu Aitta added that Abbas noted that the \"Nakba\" era will not be repeated and there will be no more new immigration of the Palestinian people. Earlier, Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said the call by President Mahmoud Abbas for a Palestinian state without UN membership is disputable. \"Though it pertains to the future of the Palestinian people, the call expresses a personal or unilateral stance that can unlikely be accepted by our people,\" Hamas spokesman Sami Abu-Zohri said in a press release received by KUNA. During his speech, President Abbas shed light on the \"catastrophic danger of the racist Israeli settlement\" of Palestine. \"Developments over the past year have confirmed what we have persistently drawn attention to and warned of: the catastrophic danger of the racist Israeli settlement of our country, Palestine,\" Abbas added.
