The first reprocessed nuclear shipment since the disaster at Fukushima arrived under armed guard near the Takahama nuclear plant in Japan on Thursday, an AFP journalist at the scene reported. The vessel had travelled for around two months with its cargo of MOX fuel -- a blend of uranium and plutonium -- after being reprocessed in France. The shipment will now be stored because Japan has no working reactors able to use it.
