Hampton, Fla., Mayor Barry Layne Moore, 51, has been arrested on charges of possession and selling drugs, police said. Bradford County sheriff's deputies arrested Moore Monday in Polk County on charges of possession and selling Oxycodone, The (Jacksonville) Florida Times-Union reported. Bradford County Sheriff Gordon Smith, in a statement, alluded to another high-profile case involving a mayor and drugs -- that of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who has admitted smoking crack cocaine and ignoring widespread calls for his resignation. "This isn't Toronto," Smith said. "We will not tolerate illegal drug activity in my jurisdiction by anyone to include our elected officials." Moore -- who was booked into the Polk County jail on $45,000 bail -- was arrested and charged with battery in October 2012 and was booked on a probation violation in December 2012, the newspaper said.
