Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Friday with CIA Director John Brennan.
The two officials discussed ways of bolstering bilateral relations and a number of issues of common interest, spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati said.
He added that Shoukry briefed Brennan on the latest developments in Egypt and efforts exerted to face terrorism.
The situation in Libya and Syria was probed as well, Abdel Aati added.
