Former UN chief Boutrous Boutrous-Ghali met here Sunday with UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova.
During the meeting, Ghali briefed Bokova on the ongoing developments in Egypt and its intention to restore its regional and international status.
In statements to MENA, Ghali said that he discussed with Bokova preparations for the third Permanent Forum of Arab-African Dialogue on Democracy and Human Rights, which will be held during this year and will tackle women's rights in light of the armed conflicts.
He further said that Bokova told him that she will pay a visit to Egypt on May 12 as part of a UNESCO campaign to defend the international humanitarian heritage.
