Four Iraqis were killed in two separate attacks in Baghdad, among them a high ranking police officer, Iraqi police said on Sunday. An Iraqi police source said that unknown armed men attacked a police patrol in Yarmuk neighborhood west of Baghdad,reported the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. The source added the attack resulted in killing the driver instantly while police ranking officer Major General Nayif Al-Samarrae was pronounced dead in hospital. The attackers fled the scene, the source said. In another incident, two Iraqi civilians were earlier killed and one injured in a sticky-bomb attack targeting a bus in Al-Sadr city, east of the capital.
