Paris - BNA
France will examine samples of chemical weapons transferred from Syria to Paris by reporters from France\'s Le Monde newspaper, senior French official has announced. \"Samples were handed to our intelligence services by the Le Monde journalists,\" the official was quoted as saying. \"Tests will be done on these samples and the results made known in the coming days,\" he added. The French government, as the United States and Britain, had analyzed its samples and concluded that there were \"clues but no formal evidence\" of the use of chemical arms in Syria. The official pointed out that the issue of chemical weapons in Syria was discussed on Monday between the foreign ministers of France Laurent Fabius, the United States John Kerry and Russia Sergei Lavrov. \"If we have enough elements that converge to say that chemical weapons were used, then we will have to take a decision with our partners to examine the possible consequences,\" the official said.
