French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius met here on Thursday with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif who is visiting France.

The two top diplomats will sign two memorandums of understanding on political dialogue and formation of a joint economic committee, Foreign Ministry spokesman Roman Nadal said in statements.

They will also have talks on the the latest developments in the Middle East and follow-up the implementation of a nuclear deal reached between Tehran and world powers in Vienna on July 14 last year.

Zarif is accompanying Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, currently on an official visit to France, the first of its kind in 15 years.
