Maradah Trend Head, MP Sleiman Franjieh, met Saturday with Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ghadanfar Rukn Abadi, who visited him in Bnishe\'i accompanied by a senior Embassy delegation. On emerging, Abadi indicated that the purpose of the visit was to offer seasonal greetings to MP Franjieh. He added that the encounter was a chance to dwell on latest developments on both the regional and international scenes. Bilateral Lebanese-Iranian relations and the Iranian initiative vis-à-vis the Syrian crisis also featured high during their discussions. Abadi disclosed that the Iranian initiative has been welcomed, thus far, by all officials since it is comprehensive, in the sense that it includes both pro-government and opposition demands, he noted.
