Director General of the French Foreign Ministry Anne-Marie Descôtes arrived here on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Egypt during which she will hold talks on joint cooperation in the cultural and development domains.

According to a statement released by the French embassy here, the visiting diplomat will meet with Egyptian officials in charge of cultural and diplomatic affairs along with development cooperation.

The visit will also offer an opportunity for discussing arrangements for a conference on climate change that will be held in Paris in December this year.

She will also meet with Minister of Higher Education Sayyed Abdel Khaleq for talks on the issue of French departments at Egyptian universities along with the French University in Egypt, added the statement.
