French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will take part in a meeting on countering terrorism on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session currently held in New York.
In statements Friday, French Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said that Fabius will call for implementing decisions of an international conference on the victims of ethnic and religious violence that was held in Paris on September 8.
Fabius will also take part in a high-level meeting organized by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on strengthening cooperation where migration and refugee files are concerned, the spokesman said.
Nadal added that the French foreign minister will attend other sideline meetings on peace in the Middle East and Iran nuclear deal among other issues.
