The Egyptian security bodies have been able so far to arrest at least 37 people over charges of attacking police forces as well as public and private properties in the vicinity of the US embassy, in Garden City neighbourhood , an official source at the Interior Ministry announced here on Friday. He added in a statement posted by the Middle East News Agency (MENA) that the defendants were immediately referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation. The source also pointed out that 31 security officers have been injured in clashes with the demonstrators who attacked the US embassy in downtown Cairo over the past four days , protesting against the shameful movie insulting prophet mohammad , peace and blessing be upon him (PBUH). The protesters also injured a number of security officers and other security personnel and set fire to a number of security carrier vehicles.
