Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba will attend the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal, which will take place later Thursday.

Ondimba arrived at Cairo airport earlier in the day then he headed for Ismailia to attend the historic event.

His participation reflects good relations between Gabon and Egypt.
