Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdullatif Al-Zayani stressed, Monday, that Iran should continue having an international dialogue regarding its nuclear program and it should fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).Al-Zayani made this remark in a press statement after holding a meeting with GCC delegations and US Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wend Sherman in Riyadh.He said GCC countries emphasize the importance of having mass-destruction weapons free-zone in the region. The region's environmental safety and the safety of its marine life should not be jeopardized by any sort of nuclear reactions, he added. Al-Zayani expressed his appreciation to Sherman for keeping the GCC body up-to-date on the ongoing negotiations with Iran. He also lauded efforts exerted by the member-states of the Group 5+1 to settle the Iran's nuclear issue that might relieve the region from the detrimental effects of such weapons and secure its peace and stability.
