The foreign ministers of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU) on Sunday stressed importance of promoting bilateral cooperation.

In the final communiqué of the 24th joint ministerial meeting between the EU and the GCC, held Sunday in Doha, the two sides called for promoting political dialogue through holding meeting between top officials of GCC and EU.

The Gulf and European ministers called for preserving Yemen's unity and territorial integrity, respecting its sovereignty and independence through peaceful talks.

They strongly condemned a terrorist attack that targeted worshippers in a mosque in the Saudi eastern governorate of al Qatif.
