Arab Gulf leaders expressed confidence in the choices of the Egyptian people, extending full backing to the Egyptian economy. In a final communique at the end of the 34th GCC summit, the leaders expressed keenness on security and stability of Egypt, and rejected foreign interference in the country's internal affairs. They said countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) were supporting the Egyptian people and their economy. They said they were confident that Egypt would regain its leading role in the region.
