Leaders of the Arab Gulf countries decided Wednesday to renew the mandate of GCC Secretary General Abdulateef Al-Zayani for another three-year term, starting next April. The leaders, at the conclusion of their summit, said the renewal was in appreciation of Al-Zayani's efforts and positive contribution to boosting the common march. Al-Zayani is of Bahrain and was a career officer.
