German chancellor Angela Merkel sent a cable of condolences to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the death of 21 Egyptians at the hands of terrorist group Daesh in Libya.
The German embassy in Cairo quoted a statement by spokesman for the German government Steffen Seibe as saying that Merkel expressed shock at the heinous crime, pointing out that the German government condemns the barbaric killing of Egyptians.
According to the statement, the German government called on the world to unite against Daesh, pointing out that Germany would contribute to fighting the terrorist organization.
