Germany approved on Thursday an Egyptian nomination to appoint diplomat Badr Abdel Aati as Egypt's ambassador in Berlin.

The Foreign Ministry was notified of the approval decision.

Badr Abdel Aati is now serving as official spokesman for the foreign ministry. He further worked in a number of Egypt's embassies in Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Washington and Brussels.
