Reconnaissance jets

Germany sent on Wednesday a letter of intent to Turkey to deploy four or six Tornado reconnaissance jets and a military transport plane at an airbase in southern Turkey.

The step comes after the German government issued a decision to send troops to fight Daesh terrorist group in Syria.

Earlier, Ankara gave France the green light to use the Turkish airbases and ports to provide logistic support for the French troops in Syria.

Spain and Italy have also decided to keep their rocket systems in Turkey in place to retaliate against any possible rocket attack from Syria.

The US has also sent 24 jet fighters and 1,500 troops in Turkey to fight Daesh terrorist group.
