President of South Sudan Silva Kiir said today that government forces have restored control on Burr, the capital of the South Sudan's Jongoli State, which has been stormed last week by rebels affiliated to forces led by Silva Kiir's former Vice President Riak Mashar. Speaking to reporters in Juba, Kiir said the forces are currently embarked on clearing the city from remnants of the rebellion, if any.
