Greece asserted its commitment to combat Daesh organization and support international efforts exerted to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis which destabilized the Middle East.

This came in a statement by the Greek embassy here to mark one year on forming the international coalition against Daesh.

The statement added that the summit held on the sidelines of the UNGA meetings on combating Daesh violence is a chance to cooperate and coordinate efforts among the international community for an effective confrontation with Daesh to contribute to solving the Syrian crisis and achieving stability in the region.
