Greek authorities detained a number of Egyptian citizens while trying to enter the country with forged documents, the Egyptian embassy in Athens said Wednesday. The authorities deported some of them while the rest are still being held pending deportation, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ragaee Nasr said. The embassy is closely following up the case with the Greek authorities concerned, he said, adding that the authorities would never allow any foreigner to enter the country with a forged visa.
