Thirty people have been killed and 1076 injured across Egypt as a group of Muslim brotherhood and supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi attacked demonstrators in al-Tahrir Square and other squares in all Egyptian governorates. According to Head of Relief Body in Egypt Mohammad Sultan, the death toll, until Saturday morning, raised to at least 30 dead with 1076 wounded. Gunmen from Muslim Brotherhood group and pro-Morsi demonstrators attacked army and security checkpoints in the Egyptian city of al-Arish, where they opened fire on three checkpoints and the security center of the city. The Middle East News Agency MENA quoted security sources and eye witnesses from the locals as saying that SUV vehicles carrying masked gunmen attacked three checkpoints in al-masoura and al-Safa in Rafah and al-Mazraa in al-Arish, along with a security center in al-Ahrash area in Rafah. Earlier yesterday, gunmen launched eight attacks on security centers in three cities northern Sinai, using heavy weapons, mortar shells and RPG bombs.
