William Hague British Foreign Secretary William Hague strongly condemned on Sunday the death of seven hostages, including a Briton, in Nigeria. Hague said the death of Brendan Vaughan, who was taken hostage on 16 February, was “an unforgivable act of pure cold blooded murder, for which there can be excuse or justification.”, BBC reported “It is with deep sadness that I must confirm that a British construction worker, held hostage in Nigeria since 16 February, is likely to have been killed at the hands of his captors, along with six other foreign nationals who we believe were also tragically murdered.
