Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki discussed with the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim, the political situation and the upcoming elections as well as the latest security developments in Iraq especially the ongoing military operations in Anbar. According to a statement by the Supreme Islamic Council today, " Hakim visited al-Maliki yesterday evening in his office and stressed during the meeting" to support the armed forces in the war against terrorist organizations, and supporting the forces of Anbar tribes as they firmly deterring Daash and fighting against al-Qaida.
