The Palestinian movement of Hamas deplored the statements of United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon where he called for freeing the Israeli prisoners held by the movement, describing it as biased.

In press statements on Tuesday, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zahri said that these statements show that the UN chief serves the interests of Israel.

Hamas called on the international community to end the suffering of 6.000 Palestinian prisoners held in the Israeli prisons.

Earlier, Ban Ki-moon urged the Gazans to report any information about the missing Israelis who might be imprisoned by Hamas.
