A Hamas spokesman said on Wednesday the Palestinian resistance groups will retaliate to Israel’s killing of top Hamas military commander Ahmed Jaabari. Hamas representative in the legislative council in Gaza, Mushir al Masri said Israel will pay the price for the assassination. An Israeli air strike earlier Wednesday killed Jaabari and his bodyguard. Four other Palestinians died in a wave of other air strikes on the Gaza Strip. “The Israeli occupation has carried out more than 20 air strikes on targets and headquarters of the police and security in the Gaza Strip. So far, six people have been killed, including commander Ahmed Jaabari,” the interior ministry said. Gaza’s emergency services said at least 25 people had been injured in the attacks that began around 4:00 pm (1400 GMT) with the strike that killed Jaabari and his bodyguard Mohammed al-Hams in a car in Gaza City. Two more people died in further strikes in Gaza City, and another two were killed in raids on the northern town of Beit Lahiya.
