Hamas has announced its categorical rejection of the return of the Palestinian Authority to the “futile negotiations” with the Israeli occupation,” asserting that the negotiations have always proved unsuccessful in achieving the aspirations of the Palestinian people. Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the return of the Palestinian Authority to the negotiations with the occupation is an actual response to the U.S. pressure, and meets the demands of the occupation. Meanwhile, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) also rejected the resumption of talks between the Palestinian Authority and the occupation on the basis of the views and ideas of US Secretary of State John Kerry. The PFLP said in a statement that the return to negotiations away from United Nations and its relevant resolutions will be like “political suicide” that would give the Israeli occupation the opportunity to commit the most heinous crimes against the rights of the Palestinians and their lands. It urged the Palestinian leadership to join all international organizations, including the International Criminal Court and the Geneva agreements, without subjecting Palestinian rights, guaranteed by the international law, to any bargains or bookmakers that proved failing repeatedly.
