Gaza City - MENA
Senior Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh praised Friday decisions made by the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Central Council in its 27th meeting held in Ramallah.
Haniyeh considered the decisions as 'a right step in the right direction', especially the decision to halt security coordination with Israel.
Speaking in a Friday sermon in the Gaza Strip, Haniyeh pressed for practical steps to implement those decisions, or else they will just be recommendations.
The Hamas leader also called for outlining a strategy to unite all Palestinians.
The central council had adopted several resolutions, including one to suspend all forms of security coordination with Israel given its systematic and ongoing noncompliance with signed agreements and its daily military raids against the Palestinian people and property.
