Deputy Marwan Hmadeh stressed that the elections would be held on time and mediations to find balanced law would succeed. "We still have a month and one week to approve a law and vote on it if good intention exists," the MP told "Voice of Lebanon"-Freedom and Dignity radio on Friday. The MP called on all sides to start a real workshop to produce an electoral law and to stay away from procrastination. Commenting on Deputy Michel Aoun's rejection of small-district law, he said "if there is rejection we will resort to President Michel Sleiman's consultations." Hmadeh said that Speaker of the House Nabih Beri would not approve a law not agreed on by all sides. He pointed that former Prime Minister Saad Hariri yesterday has even went beyond the 50-district proposal and combined few ideas proposed by March 8 forces. Hmadeh called on sides to discuss 50-district bill which Kataeb and Lebanese Forces have proposed to the parliament and signed by MP Sami Gemayel and other MPs.
