MP Marwan Hmadeh told Voice of Lebanon Radio on Saturday that the Orthodox plan is not an electoral project but a hazardous political scheme. He confirmed that parliamentary elections could still take place on time. When asked about his opinion of MP Michel Aoun's suggestion to resort back to single electoral constituencies with proportionality, Hmadeh said that it was a fast but an indirect way to obliterate political confessionalism. "The numerical majority will take over upcoming parliament."
