Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo Peter Kveck condemned a terrorist attack that took place close to the Italian consulate in downtown Cairo.

He stressed that his country slams all forms of terrorism and backs Egypt in combating extremism.

Kveck told MENA that he is sure that the Egyptian government exerts its utmost efforts to fight terror.

He offered condolences to the family of the victim, hoping a speedy recovery for the wounded.

One person was killed and 10 others were wounded in the attack.
