The Hungarian foreign ministry on Tuesday condemned the terrorist attack on the Italian consulate downtown Cairo.

In a statement distributed by the embassy here, Hungary expressed its solidarity with both Egypt and Italy.

It asserted its backing for Egypt in its war against terrorism.
