Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh received here on Friday His Highness the visiting Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. A red-carpet reception was held for Sheikh Jaber and the national anthems of the State of Kuwait and India were played. Sheikh Jaber then reviewed the honor guard. His Highness the premier shook hands with Indian cabinet ministers and senior officials, while the Indian premier shook hands with the Kuwaiti delegation members. He then visited Mahatma Gandhi Memorial where he laid a wreath of flowers in appreciation for the late Indian leader's role in his country's independence.
