Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday accepted the Delhi lieutenant governor's proposal on the formation of government in New Delhi by the Aam Admi Party ( AAP), a new political party, local news agency PTI reported. The home ministry sent the President's communication to lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung on government formation. "It is up to LG to decide date of swearing-in after holding consultation with the chief minister-designate," the home ministry said. Civil servant-turned-anti-graft activist Arvind Kejriwal formed AAP barely a year-and-a-half back. He led the fledging party to a spectacular victory in the assembly polls, bagging 28 out of 70 seats. Kejriwal will take office as new Chief Minister of Delhi.
