The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, received the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, yesterday at his guest residence in Jeddah, where he arrived on Friday for an official visit, according to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.

During the meeting, they discussed relations of mutual interest to the two nations.

Following the meeting, Al-Jubeir released a statement saying, "We have discussed the situation in the Islamic world, challenges facing it, how to deal with them and cooperate to confront them, what the region currently faces, and the importance of cooperation and consultation between the two countries, to best serve the security and stability of the Islamic world and the world in general."
